Tom (Thomas Z.) Shepard

         It is impossible to sum up Tom Shepard's 37 year career in a few short words. To cite his 12 Grammy Awards, his producer's credit on over 100 Broadway cast albums, several hundred classical albums and dozens of soundtracks, the NARAS Governor's Award for Lifetime Achievement, and close associations with most of the greatest stars, composers, conductors and impresarios in the international classical scene hardly begins to tell the tale of this man's magnificent musical journey. Never before in his illustrious career, however, has he been captured on a recording medium like this! On "Love...On a Stormy Weekend," Shepard's gift for improvisation, technical mastery of the piano and a lifelong love of classical music have combined to create some of the most stirring solo piano pieces ever recorded.
