Mac Frampton recently performed in Washington, D.C. for 1400 of Washington's elite at the National Symphony Orchestra annual ball. He was joined by The Hollywood Hills Orchestra and Atlanta vocalist Bernadine Mitchell (below).

In honor of the event's British theme for the night, Mac performed selections from his top selling album, "Projections," including his famous "James Bond Medley."  CDs of "Projections" were given to the guests at the conclusion of the evening, which, by the way, was extended an additional hour by popular demand. Numerous dignitaries were in attendance including Leonard Slatkin, conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra. The evening (including the auction) raised over 2.5 million dollars for the NSO. Reaction to Mac's performance was so incredible that he's already been booked for next year.

"This was one of the highlights of my life," a humble but exhausted Frampton told us after his performance. Not only did he perform, he also wrote most of the arrangements  and conducted the orchestra. What a night! No doubt, Mac's music will be all over Washington for many years to come. Pictured below: Mac, wife Nancy, and Sharyn McCabe.

Be sure and check out Mac's 2001 schedule on his home page.

No new music from Palomino Duck but the group still continues to sell from its two CD catalogue. "First Flight" is as popular in California as it ever was. Producer Tim McCabe (and wife Sharyn) was in New York recently visiting with the folks at Columbia House. "Free Flight" was recently included on the club's "Fast Track" sampler CD. Special thanks to Lynda Fox-Frazer (and Richard) for the introduction to Evergreen.

Meanwhile, Tom Shepard ("Love On a Stormy Weekend") continues rehearsals for his upcoming spring concert. It will be held in New York City's Carnegie Hall Tuesday evening, May 8th. Tom is one talented dude. That, too, will be night to remember.
